Candidates Gathering for Dialogue on July 31st

Dear Supporters of My Candidacy for At-Large City Councilor,

Come join us on July 31st for my next Gathering that will occur in my back yard from 5:30 to 7:30pm, 118 Franklin Street. My back yard is accessible, but sadly, my 1890 home is not. Next event I will ensure accessibility for all, and I apologize for my oversight this time. The previous Gathering at Matt & Kellyanne’s was attended by 35 to 40 engaged citizens with a lot to say about the current governing body of Northampton. Let’s get together and discuss what’s working in the city and what needs to be changed.

To begin forming collaboration amongst the candidates for change, Leann and I have invited many candidates who are running for change in the way this city is governed. Come be a part of the dialogue. Bring your questions, concerns, and ideas for changing the way Northampton budgets are prepared. How do you want your tax dollars spent? Let’s enjoy the evening as we discuss the needs being unmet in our community and various alternatives to budgeting to meet those needs:

1. Full funding for our public schools;
2. Adequate funding for a DPW that will repair our sidewalks and streets to make them safe for those who travel in chairs or other assistive devices;
3. Picture Main Street – are you for or against it and why;
4. Engagement with residents by elected officials to incorporate your values and priorities into the budget.
